Tables

Tables are powerful drawing objects that allow other drawing objects to be displayed in rows and columns. Table objects display a number of cells, one at each row/column position in the table. Other objects can then be inserted into each cell, with their vertical and horizontal alignment controlled by the cell. The cells size to their contents, but also have a minimum height and width. Cells are separated from each other by an adjustable padding border.

Tables are particularly useful for displaying multi-line text objects. This is because a table will automatically size itself to hold its contents, and the text itself can be in-line edited by the user. Tables make excellent building blocks for more sophisticated graphical objects (see Create your own objects).
